Lakeside Green Streets. Latest Measure DD project is a 14 acre complete green streets project to facilitate pedestrian and bicycle use, calm traffic, increase parklands, improve Snow Park, and improve water quality. Construction scheduled to be completed Spring 2019. Visit Green Streets
Merritt Slackers meet up Saturdays at the Embarcadero. Popular carnival-like activity of slack-lining, acro-yoga and juggling is an informal get-together welcoming everyone to participate.
East Bay Front Runners and Walkers meet at 9:00 a.m., starting at the Cameron Stafford House, the second Saturday of every month at Lake Merritt. Next meet up is May 13. Info at EBFRW
Oakland Lawn Bowling Club at Lake Merritt offers bowl hours and free lessons, Tuesday, 10 a.m., Wednesday 6 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m., Sunday 2 p.m.. Club open Tuesday thru Sunday. Check Oakland LBC for more info and updates on field condition.
